Staff Source Wins Indiana Excellence Award

Staff Source of Hammond was honored on Wednesday in Indianapolis for the Indiana Excellence Awards in the Services category. Their winning project was based on their new website AvailableCandidateList.com.

The state award presented by the law firm BKD strives to recognize companies which, through their excellence, make the state a better place to live, work, and play.

The goal of ACL has been to flip traditional staffing upside down by marketing employees to potential employers instead of waiting for those employers to come to Staff Source.

Since implementing the ACL, Staff Source has helped its clients place 30 permanent jobs in under six months. This more than doubled their direct hire placement business.

The ACL site was designed by the team at Blaine's Business Services, also located in Hammond. BBS continues to support Staff Source's ACL through marketing, site maintenance, and upgrades.

Also representing the region at the awards was Alverno Clinical Laboratories of Hammond, St. Mary Medical Center of Hobart, and Sisters of St. Francis Health Services in Hammond. All were nominated in the Health Care Providers category. The Sisters of St. Francis won the category award for their implementation of the Lean Six Sigma methodology.
