Do you have plans to improve your business this spring? Is this improvement a "spring cleaning" or do you have other plans?

Spring is a time when the plants that left us in the fall months come back and flourish. Every year they reinvent themselves. Flowers bloom and lawns need to be mowed. Spring is always a new, exciting and fun season.
Spring is a time when nature has a chance to re-invent itself, shocking and awing us every time. That first nice day we get is a tease and is nature’s way of re-inventing itself for the year, letting us know just to hold on, it will be warm sooner than you think.
You can look at business the same way as you do spring. Every now and then things need to change. The spring changes come no matter what and business changes come only with the imagination and effort of dedicated individuals.
Spring is your time to change. You can only look at the same thing so many times before it becomes dull and unimaginative. In the eyes of your customers or clients you do not want to change anything drastically, so tweak what they have come to know. Your change this spring does not need to be drastic, but your image needs change every now and then. If your business is looking for an improvement, do it before your competition does.
Looking to add something fresh to your business? This year’s suggestions are improving your web site, logo, or marketing collateral. Depending on what’s going on at our office, our web site is updated anywhere from once a week to daily. We also update and improve our marketing collateral regularly. Updates and additions to your web site and marketing collateral are very important. Clients come to us as early as January looking to update their web sites and create new marketing collateral for the spring and summer months.
Many businesses do not want to change. People see change as friction. And sometimes getting things to change is tiresome and because of this people oppose it. But when your customers and clients see that you are on the move, keeping a lead with what goes on outside your business doors, they will see you as an industry leader who keeps at the forefront of your particular realm of business.
You can also use spring to implement new procedures and illustrate the result of positive change to customers and clients. Try displaying a noticeable change in the end product your customers and clients receive.
You may have heard of some large, successful companies that we consider no stranger to change: Wells Fargo, GE, Microsoft, Google, and Yahoo!
If you are not looking to "change" your processes or your end products, let your clients know that you are not the industry "follower" by adding "flair" or an added value. Even if your business is strong, let your customers and clients know.
Companies who change and adapt are seen as Industry Leaders. They are proactive, successful, and growing. They are looking for ways to prove they are the best.
Spring cleaning doesn't always mean you have to change. Try dusting up a bit. Dust off an old idea to make it look new. Create innovation through reinvention.
